In Another World

Ahh, the innocence of childhood.  How most of us wish we could go back to those days.  No matter the child, there's always those moments of which you can get them in that "moment" where you look and see the pureness of them, well per-say.  It is a short lived moment.

This is one of my step-mom's friend's daughter.  Don't be confused.  I was actually in the process of taking photos of one of our horses we were trying to sell, and I noticed her standing there watching.  She is extremely shy, until she gets to know you, and is often occupying herself or watching her siblings.  Here in this photograph, she was in her own world, spacing off as I was at work on a different project.  I had to sneak in a picture.

High School Career Works

First pastel still life piece.

This is a photo of Lady Gaga I found online, I'm not well at drawing people so I made it a challenge for myself to draw this.  Simple pencil and paper.

I asked for requests as to what to draw, people sure have creative minds!  A young man asked me to draw a skull with the confederate flag behind it, and this is what I came up with.

A poor excuse for watercolor, to be honest.  I was just playing around with it.

For my love of horses, I painted this using water colors.  Learning that watercolors are definitely not my strong point of all mediums.

Next to the other horse painting using watercolors, I like this one better.  Still not a huge fan of it, but it was a nice try.

Quick sketch of a foal, simple pencil and paper.
I love Kurt Cobain, but as shown in this Charcoal and Chalk, I am nothing good at drawing people.  This was quite a big project, so I did get tired of working on it after a while.  But I still admire it.

I love drawing anything creepy and weird, so using mechanical pencil I drew this.  An idea given by a close friend of mine.

A doodle of an angel using pencil.  I can't stress enough how not experienced I am at drawing people, especially faces.

Self explanatory, a falling doll.  I aimed to make it creepy in a sense, but I think if I took the time to make dramatic shading it would have looked better.

My first hand at creating a dragon.  I used this drawing to make my first ever painting, which I am very proud of.

I was asked to make a piece for my cousin, so unsure of what he likes I figured he would like a picture of one of the Transformers: Optimus Prime.  No lie, I actually love this drawing.  Just use of colored pencils and drawing paper.

A drawing of the well known Elmo for my other cousin.

Not well at using colored pencils, I drew this horse for yet again my other cousin.

Skull, using pencil and paper.

I have yet to perfect this picture, I just think it's creepy and like it but I want the creepy effect to stand out way more.  Pencil and paper.

Doodle of a broken, sewn together heart.  Pencil and paper.

One of my favorite horse drawings, ever.  Pencil and paper.
My first charcoal and chalk work.  Showing my love for Kurt Cobain and made in memory of him.

I love lips, they say so much even when they are not moving.  Pencil and paper doodle.

Requested drawing of penguins from an acquaintance.  Not well drawn, but used pencil and paper.

My first real colored pencil assignment.  I got really annoyed working on it after a while.

I love roses, just another creative way to draw them.  Used pastels.

Another try at a creepy photo.  Seeing it now, I wish I could have done things a little differently to make it look ever so slightly better, at least to me.  I still love it though.  Pencil and paper.

Another request from a young man, to draw something with a snake and hand.  He wanted something with chains in it as well but I really don't have patience for chains.  Just pencil and paper.

My love for horses meets side walk chalk.

A tattoo sketch I doodled up, using tribal and the cancer zodiac symbol.  (Not 69, you perverts)

A requested drawing of unicorn and butterflies.  One of my other favorite drawings.  Pencil and paper.

One of my favorite paintings.  A ying-yang symbol using the contrast of warm and cold colors.
This is an original sketch for a painting I was assigned to do, but I did NOT like how it looked after I painted it.  It was a poor assignment and probably a poor choice on my part, as well as a poor choice of colors used.  But I love the drawing, unpainted in all it's glory.
All of these pieces are works that I've created over my High School career.  There are some in my previous posts that I have made then too.  I simply do not have the time to post and write details about each of them.  All in all I have had much fun drawing or painting each of these, even if I did not get along with my previous art teacher.  I could not give a specific date as to when any were made, neither are they in a specific order of any sort.  If you do see one and have questions for, don't hesitate to email me!

Guess What This Is

This is one of my favorite paintings.  Guess what it is?  Well, I'm going to tell you just in case you can't tell.  For an assignment we were to choose something in a magazine then pick only a certain portion of it to paint, without revealing what it is.  I love horses, and when I found this sculpture in a History magazine, I wanted to do it.  The challenge was finding what parts of it to do, but obviously I found it as you can see.  Some people get it right away, others have no clue what it is.  I gifted this piece to a close friend of mine who loved it, and I think once she gets it in a nice frame and hanging on a wall it will look really nice.  I would have loved to keep this myself and hang it to be honest, I love it.  But I know she'll love it equally as much as I do.  Hopefully she'll keep it for many years to come, I'll forget about it, then be surprised when she still has it.

It was actually pretty fun making this piece.  Working to get the colors just right to show the shiny-ness of the metallic coat on the sculpture, the three basic colors.  It was simple, and fairly easy.  Even though I wasn't a huge fan of school and assignments, I actually kinda enjoyed this one.

Double Take

There's always those pictures you have to look at, look away, but then you are suddenly driven to look at it once more.  I attempted to achieve a double-take photo by creatively taking a photo of this horse toy in my backyard with real grass.  I felt it would give people the thought of, "Oh, just another horse picture.  But wait, that's not real, but yet it is.  It's a toy horse in grass!"  Type of thing...

Anyways, although simple and kinda silly, I enjoy this picture.  I feel that the company who makes these toy horses may even enjoy this.  Boredom can create beautiful things.

Death Is Beauty

Some are afraid of death, others celebrate it.  I admire it, and fear it, but sometimes it can be seen as beautiful in its simplicity of stillness.  To what this bird may have looked while alive, I feel it is just as beautiful in this state of decomposition.  Although seemingly gross, and creepy, there is beauty in everything.

By simply cropping the upper part and removing the point of horizon from the view, I think makes the photo by far better.  It makes your focus entirely on the bird, and all of its details.  The eye is even drawn to the rocks from which it lays upon.  Not to brag about my own work, but in honesty this is a good photo.

Hope or Faith?

Ambigrams are two words in one that can be read individually simply by flipping it one way or the other. I was given the challenge of creating an ambigram of "Hope" and "Faith", of which you see to the left.  It started out just as a way to pass some time, but once I revealed it onto my Facebook people loved it.  One girl mentioned in a comment that it would be something that she would like to get done as a tattoo.

I think it is definitely interesting, something new that I hadn't done before.  I used examples of other ambigrams in order to make this and turn it into something with my own creative spin.  I'm not entirely sure, but I think making tattoo sketches is the life I'm going to end up getting into.  Not that I can say I'd mind it at all, it'd certainly be something interesting to look into.

Tramp Stamp! Okay, Lower Back Tattoo

I have honestly always fancied lower back tattoos, or more known as "tramp stamps".  People tend to associate them with, well tramps.  Sluts, skanks, rather promiscuous women (and some cases, men).  I don't think that when I see a tramp stamp, unless it clearly states otherwise.  I drew this in inspiration of my Zodiac symbol, Cancer, which is portrayed in the center.  It's almost something that I would want to get if I were to get a tattoo.  I like the simplicity of it, and the motion it draws your eyes as you're looking at it.

This could also be as a tattoo to get on one's shoulders, or even chest with some slight modifications.  I think if it were to be gotten on the shoulder's it could be modified to look like it has wings as well.  Overall I like this design, pretty simple.

Cool, But Creepy

This is a piece I drew what seems to be long ago, from times way back in Drawing I class.  I needed something to do and also a present to present to my mom, so what better than to draw something for her? She loves creepy art, so while searching for something for inspiration, I came across a photo-shopped photo which helped me create this drawing. I do not take credit for the idea, for the picture was well edited, and I thank the individual for creating such an image for I could not have drawn this.  Although it is an earlier piece, it is one of my favorites.

Many others seem to have a hard time decided whether they like it or not, I personally feel that the creepiness of it is what really makes it good.  Some might just find it too creepy to look at, but I think that means it's good if it looks that well to cause such reaction.  Such things should be appreciated!
